The Caveman Diet

The Caveman diet, or the Paleo diet, as it is also called, is a very popular diet right now. And with good reason. Have you ever thought about what your body was meant to eat? I mean, really meant to eat? Well, its not a diet of grapefruits. Or a diet of Cheeseburgers.

For the majority of humankinds existence on this planet, they have been hunter gathers. This means that for thousands of years, they ate a certain diet. So as a result of this, over the millennia, our bodies became biologically adjusted to this food. Most of the food we eat nowadays, our bodies simply aren’t designed to eat.

Sometimes called the paleolithic diet, what does the caveman diet consist of? Well, this is what it doesn’t consist of :

Grains
Potatoes
Lentils
Dairy
Processed sugar
Preservatives

This is a high protein low fat paleo diet, full of raw food as the basis. A lot of the foods eaten today are over processed, over stuffed with sugars and salts.
This is not a fad diet, but a diet that our ancestors lived on and thrived on for millennia.
